About Uma Mythos

Uma Mythos is a storytelling house, not a person. It exists to keep ancient Indian stories alive in a form that can be read, shared, and remembered.

We retell the great tales of Indian tradition — from the Mahabharata and Ramayana, from the Puranas and Panchatantra, from regional folklore and historical accounts — in illustrated form, meant to be read slowly, shared freely, and carried forward.

Our Philosophy

Every Uma Mythos story draws from history, mythology, folklore, or ancient narratives — and offers clear, relatable insight into real human experiences.

We never lecture. Wisdom emerges naturally through character actions and consequences, not moral lessons. The ancient speaks to the present through subtle parallels, without explicit modern references.

Our stories are meant to uplift and entertain, while offering insight into experiences like leadership, doubt, fear, power, ego, compassion, patience, strategy, and moral choice.

How to Read

Read at your own pace. Some stories are complete in a single telling. Others unfold across episodes. There is no schedule to keep up with.

Share freely. Forward episodes to family, friends, or anyone who might enjoy them. Stories grow when they travel.

Read aloud. These stories are written to be spoken. They work well at bedtime, or during quiet moments together.

Support

If a story has stayed with you — if it reminded you of someone, or helped you see something differently — you are welcome to support this work. It is entirely optional, and freely given.

Your support helps keep these stories freely available to all.
